Seychelles (16-23 January 2012)

Seychelles is a perfect tropical island holiday. And it is not only for romantics.
We flew Air Seychelles. We went with Pentravel and the package was R15 705 pp. We chose to stay on Praslin Island, and we flew to this island on one of those small planes where we could see into the captain's cabin, as there was no interleading door.  Flying just above the sea, one had a breath-taking view of the ocean.

The Coco de Mer Hotel and Black Parrot Suites was going to be our accommodation for the next couple of days. It's a secluded beach resort with a good breakfast and supper.

The rooms were large, but there were ants everywhere, even in the fridge.

We used to go to Fisherman's Wharf before dinner everyday to watch the sunset.

We took a ferry to the islands of Victoria and La Digue. The ferry rides were extremely expensive. Seychelles is not a cheap destination. This island derives a fair portion of its revenue from tourism, and prices are highly inflated for tourists.

Quaint little house in La Digue

Beautiful beach of Anse Lazio

This was a relaxing holiday, and we spent a week in the Seychelles.
